LED Photo Therapy
LED Photo Therapy Q & A
Red light at 633nm stimulates an enzyme in your skin’s mitochondria called Cytochrome C Oxidase. This boosts ATP (cell energy) production, increasing collagen and elastin, improving skin texture, and reducing inflammation. It’s called Photobiomodulation—using light to trigger healing responses in your cells.
Yes, Dermalux Flex MD is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI).

Dermalux uses three clinically proven wavelengths:
• Blue (415nm): kills acne bacteria
• Red (633nm): boosts collagen, repairs skin
• NIR (830nm): reduces inflammation, heals tissue
You can do single, dual, or tri-wave treatments depending on your skin goals.
Most facial sessions are around 20–30 minutes. Depends on if they are added on to another service such as our facial.
Red light treatments are safe for most people, but they aren’t the right choice in every situation. Please avoid treatment if you:
- Have a history of light-triggered conditions
- Are currently receiving medical care for serious illness
- Are sensitive to light due to products, herbs, or supplements
- Experience light-related migraines or eye concerns
- Are pregnant or under the age of 16
- Have just introduced new skincare and your skin is still adjusting
